Bernard "Ben" Kehren age 91 of Belvidere Township, Goodhue County passed away at his home surounded by his loving family, Saturday October 18, 2008.

Ben was born October 3, 1917 in Minneola, Township to Joseph & Hannah (Schulz) Kehren. He grew up in Belvidere Township. Ben married Rebecca Faye Hahs June 30, 1949 in Daisy, Missouri. They lived and farmed in Belvidere Township. He also worked at the Red Wing Sewer Pipe Plant until being injured in 1972. His wife Rebecca Faye passed away November 11, 1977. Ben was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Belvidere Lutheran Church, he also sang in the church choir for many years. Ben loved being outdoors, spending time in his woods, and he had a passion for the Bible, roller skating & yodeling. He loved it when his family came home to gather, but enjoyed the silence when they left. He loved being an entertainer.

He is survived by three sons, Marty (Barb) of Belvidere, Mike of Goodhue, Milt (Jamie) of Belvidere; seven daughters, Rozanna (Richard) Stockman of Terryville, CT, Marilyn (Eugene) Strusz of Appleton, WI, Virginia (Randy) Thorne of Yakima, WA, Irene (Bob) Rehmer of Maple Grove, MN, Hannah (Mark) Jabs of Champlin, MN, Alice (Andy) Helming of Bristol, CT, Dorothy (Mike) Lodermeier of Goodhue; 33 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a sister Marie Deaven of Lakeville, MN; three brothers Reinold (Laura) of Marshall, MN, Raymond (Marie) of Belvidere, Walter (Elaine) of Lake City. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, grandson Lance Kehren, brother Eugene, and an infant sister.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:00 am at St. Peter's Belvidere Lutheran Church with Rev. Bruce Stam officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 at St. Peter's Belvidere Lutheran Church. Friends may also call one hour before the services at the church.
