Benjamin L. Johnson

Benjamin Lee Johnson, age 33, of Wanamingo, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.  He was born March 18, 1987 to Kimberly Riegelman and Bradley Johnson.  He graduated from Red Wing High School in 2006.  He worked several years at ProAct.  Ben was a very passionate Vikings fan.  He also enjoyed the Twins, watching cartoons, riding his bike, going on family vacations, and putting puzzles together.  Ben loved spending time with his dogs, Pokey, Tuffy, Tessy, and Champ; and his group homes cat, Kitty.

He is survived by his parents Kim and Darrell Mattson of Red Wing; siblings, Heather (Bengi) Orth of Medford, WI, Mellissa (Charles) Jennings of Goodhue, Shannon (Josh) Wilder of Topeka KS, and Zachary (Tricia) Johnson of Maple Grove; numerous nieces and nephews; aunts; uncles; and cousins.  He is preceded in death by his father, Bradley Johnson; paternal grandparents, Stan and Corrine Johnson; maternal grandparents, Gordy and Pat Riegelman; step grandparents, Roland and Gail Mattson.
