Benjamin David Gauger, age 23, of Red Wing, died Friday, March 21, 2008. He was born on June 1, 1984, in Red Wing, to David and Nannette (Lehman) Gauger. He attended schools in Lake City and was a graduate of Red Wing High School. He worked for Hearth and Home Technologies in Lake City and then moved to Orlando, Florida, where he graduated from the Marine Technical Institute. He returned to Red Wing where he currently worked for Marine Specialties. He enjoyed four-wheeling, snowmobiling, motorcycling, hunting fishing and Demolition Derbies.
Survivors include his parents of Denmark, Wisconsin; one sister, Jessica (Jason) Scheff of Amboy, Minnesota; maternal grandmother, Anne Lehman of Albert Lea; paternal grandparents, William and Eleanor Gauger of Red Wing; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Willis Lehman; and two uncles, Robert Gauger and David Steffenhagen.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Reverend Kristen Schlauderaff officiating. Burial will be in Frontenac Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 � 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, and one hour prior to the time of services Wednesday at the church.
