Benjamin Edward Nibbe, age 38, of Red Wing, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at the Red Wing Health Center, after a lingering illness. He was born on May 19, 1969, in Wausau, Wisconsin, to Benjamin and Alice (Andrle) Nibbe. He was a 1988 graduate of Red Wing Central High School and worked for Big Ben, the Republican Eagle, the YMCA, Hygienic Services and ProAct. He was a member of the Church of St. Joseph and enjoyed fishing, bike riding, playing chess and swimming.
Survivors include his parents of Red Wing; one sister, Pamela (Trevor) Clifford of Maiden Rock, Wisconsin; one niece, Taylor Clifford; one nephew, Tyler Clifford; aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding him in death were his maternal and paternal grandparents; one uncle, Dennis Andrle; and one aunt, Mildred Johnson.
Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Church of St. Joseph with Father Thomas Kommers officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of services Friday at the church. Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel is handling arrangements.
