Audilee Steffens

Audilee Steffens, 89, of Red Wing, died February 4, 2011 at Loving Residence. She was born June 8, 1921 in Verden, Oklahoma to Norman and Anne (Tankersley) Taylor. She attended school in Oklahoma and college at Lawton, Oklahoma. From 1944 to 1956 she lived in Pine Island. In 1956 she moved to Red Wing. She married John Steffens in1958. She worked for the Red Wing Pottery and then for the Red Wing Shoe Company for 22 years retiring in 1983. School. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and fishing.

She is survived by two sons, Paul Hart of Tacoma, WA., and Charles (Jane) Hart of Red Wing; one daughter, Anita Ripley of Red Wing; four grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; one brother, Thurman Taylor of Electra, Texas and one sister, Katherine Smith of Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband John Steffens; brother, Earl Taylor and sister, Thora Bella Saville.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson- Mahn Chapel. Burial will be in the Burnside Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to the Goodhue County Humane Society. www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
