Glenn Wahlin, age 81, of Welch, died Monday, January 21, 2008, at Fairview Red Wing Medical Center. He was born on February 6, 1926, in Welch Township, to Arthur and Florence (Anderson) Wahlin. He was a graduate of Red Wing Central High School. He married Beulah Zorn on August 2, 1969, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bellechester and they farmed on the family dairy farm in Welch Township until retiring in 1996. He was a member of Cannon River Lutheran Church where he served on the church council and as church secretary. He was a past member of bowling leagues in Red Wing and Hastings, and a past member of Cannon Falls Golden Agers. He enjoyed milking cows, bowling and playing Euchre.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah of Welch; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Wahlin; two sisters, Janice Olson and an infant sister, Helen.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Cannon River Lutheran Church with Reverend Bob Albing officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 � 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and one hour prior to the time of services Thursday at the church. Memorials are preferred to the church.
