Arthur Bentz

Arthur E. Bentz age 59 of Lake City died September 12, 2007 at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center in Wabasha.

Art was born August 31, 1948 in Billings, MT to Emil & Eugiena (Ebach) Bentz. Art grew up in Billings Montana and graduated from Billings High School. Art served in the Army from 1969 to 1971 and after being discharged he returned to Montana. He married Sharon (Myers) Olson December 18, 1973 in Billings, Montana and they later divorced. They moved to the Lake City area in 1977 where Art worked at Federal Mogal in Lake City as a shipping clerk for 29 years. Art was an avid fan of NASCAR and dirt track racing. Art was also an avid bowler and served as secretary and treasurer of the local bowling league for many years.

Art is survived by his Mother Eugiena "Jean" Pietz of Billings, MT; three daughters Lisa (Jim) Privette of Greenville, NC, Missy (Joe) Menting of Durand, WI, Theresa (Jeremy) Fritz of Chatfield, MN; one son Troy (Dana) Bentz of Kellogg; two brothers Dale (Bonnie) of Billings, Bob (Betty) of Billing; one sister Shirely (Glen) Schmidt of Billings; a special friend Sue Murphy Oldham of Lake City; eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Emil Bentz and step-father, Fred Pietz.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 18th at 11:00 am at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Burial will be in the Lakewood Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. Friends may also call one hour before the services at the funeral home.
