Arley Hubert Lee, 79, Red Wing, died Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Red Wing Health Center. He was born August 22, 1933 in Haynes, North Dakota, the son of Harvey and Almira (Fordahl) Lee. He grew up in Rochester, MN and graduated from Rochester High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in Germany from 1953-1955. He returned home and married G. Virginia Cleveland on August 25, 1956 in Hayfield, MN. They lived in Rochester where he worked for the Highway Department until 1967 when he was transferred to Red Wing. In 1969 he began working at Ralston Purina in Hager City where he worked for 22 ½ years until his retirement. He enjoyed bluegrass music, model car collections and watching sports.
Survivors include his loving wife, Virginia of Red Wing; his children: Jacqueline Lee (Terry Wurtz) of St. Paul Park and Larry Lee of Red Wing; one granddaughter, Kristine Hill (John Vohnoutka); one great-grandchild; one sister, Ethlyn Ganz of Rochester and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Charles Frederick Lee and one infant brother.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Private burial will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
