Arlene P. Pearson

Arlene Pearl Pearson, 88, of Red Wing, formerly of Ellsworth, died Friday, January 1, 2016 at her home at Jordon Towers. She was born on December 29, 1927 in Grand Forks, ND to Ludvig and Myrtle (Jahr) Peterson. She attended schools in Grand Forks and Thief River Falls, Minnesota. On November 26, 1949 she married Alvin Pearson at the English Lutheran Church Parsonage in Ellsworth. They lived in rural Ellsworth. She worked for Quants Bakery for two years, Riviera Cabinets for two years and for 20 years at Riedell Shoes. Alvin died on November 22, 1999. She was member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and was very proud of her Norwegian Heritage.

Survivors include her four children, James Pearson of Ellsworth, Dianne Pehrsson of Bend, Oregon, Ricky Pearson of Elk River and Terry (Sue) Pearson of Rosemount; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Olive Weflen of Gresham, Oregon and one brother Byron (Anita) Peterson of Rockford, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son Kenneth; one brother, Lester and one sister, Genevive.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, January 11, 2016 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Reverend Kari Burke-Romarheim officiating. Burial will follow at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
