Arlene Louise Bath, 76, of Red Wing, died unexpectedly, Thursday, November 19, 2009 at the Fairview Red Wing Medical Center. She was born August 28, 1933 in Elgin, Minnesota to Fredrick and Inez (Boldt) Lange and graduated from Elgin High School in 1952. She was baptized as a faithful witness of Jehovah on June 14, 1953. She did housekeeping and childcare work for a family in Elgin before marrying Leonard Bath on June 15, 1956 in Red Wing, where they made their home. Arlene loved sewing and knitting and had made many clothes for her family throughout the years and her favorite television show was "Sewing with Nancy".
She is survived by her husband, Leonard of Red Wing; a daughter, Beverly Fischer of Red Wing; 4 granddaughters, Ashley, Amber, Autumn and Alundra; one grandsons, Jeremiah; 2 great-grandchildren, Caden and Caitlynn; 2 sisters, Irene (George) Fortier of Big Falls, Minn. and Marian Lange of Brazil; a daughter-in-law, Sue Bath of Vadnais Heights, MN and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, Keith and Glenn Bath and a brother, Willis Lange.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Kevin Mattys officiating. A private family burial was held at Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel
