Ardelaine Louise Stumpf, 73, Red Wing, died Tuesday at St. Mary?s Hospital, Rochester. She was born July 4, 1933 in Red Wing, the daughter of Arthur and Delores (Luhman) Forsell. She attended rural schools in Belle Creek Township. She married Harlas Stumpf on June 9, 1956 in Cannon Falls. She worked at Riedell Shoes for many years and recently worked at Wal-Mart. She also helped on the family farm in all aspects of farming. Harlas died August 23, 2001. She was a member of St. Luke?s Lutheran Church in Goodhue and her family remembers how important her church was to her. She was very giving and was everyone?s friend. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and camping. Survivors include three children: Ed (Meg) Stumpf of Vasa, Gary Stumpf of Red Wing and Jane (Scott) Rogers of Red Wing; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Alyce (Ed) Gruber of Welch; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlas and two brothers, Rob and Ray. Funeral will be 2 p. m. Friday at St. Luke?s Lutheran Church in Goodhue with Reverend Michael Gustafson officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Hay Creek. Pallbearers will be Tony Stumpf, Derek Stumpf, Josh Peters, Dustin Stumpf, Dick Forsell and Brad Forsell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Keppers and Dennis Forsell. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p. m. Thursday at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and on Friday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the church.
