Anna Mildred Walm, 96, of Red Wing, died peacefully Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at her home at Potter Ridge. She was born on April 17, 1917 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin to Stephan and Susan (Racek) Kuchta. She attended schools in Ladysmith and on November 25, 1937 she married Morris Walm in Ladysmith. They lived there until in 1964 when they moved to Bloomington, Minnesota. She worked at Control Data until she retired in 1984. Morris died on May 8, 1984. She moved to Red Wing in 1984 where she worked for Red Wing Home Health Care until 2000. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and enjoyed attending her grandchildren and great grandchildren's activities.
Survivors include one son, Ron (Diane) Walm of Red Wing; five grandchildren, Brian (Lori) Walm of Eagan, Brad (Kristin) Walm of Red Wing, Holly (Pat) Wallerich of Alexandria and Michelle and Windy Walm of Cheyenne, Wyoming; 11 great grandchildren; one brother, Steve Kuchta of Green Bay; nieces and nephews and daughter-in-law, Lou Walm of Cheyenne. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Wayne and siblings, John, Andy and Sue.
Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday August 16, 2013 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Kristen Schlauderaff officiating. Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery.
