Anna Marie Voth, 94 of Lake City died on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at the Lake City Nursing Home in Lake City.
Anna Marie was born on August 30, 1916 in Lake City, the daughter of Claus and Henrietta (Dohrn) Klenke. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City and also attended school there. She did housework for several families before she married Frederick Breuer on June 6, 1939 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City. The couple farmed in rural Lake City. Frederick passed away in 1976. On November 20, 1982, she married Marvin Voth at Immanuel Lutheran Church of West Florence, at which time she moved to Goodhue. Marvin passed away in 1987. In September of 2009 she moved to St. Brigid's at Hi Park in Red Wing and in February of 2010 she entered the Lake City Nursing Home.
Anna Marie enjoyed being a Mother and all of its duties. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting doilies, knitting afghans, playing cards, and visits with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, West Florence and the Ladies Aid; also a neighborhood Birthday Club and the "Cousin's" card group.
She is survived by 4 children; Ardis (Arland) Voth of Goodhue, Audrey Breuer of Lake City, Alan (Terry) Breuer of Lake City, and Arnold (Linda) Breuer of Goodhue; 17 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Lois (Donald) Palmer of Lake City; one sister-in-law Gladys Breuer of Lake City; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; two brothers, Glen and Frederick; grandson Tim Breuer; and great-grandson, Bryce Breuer.
A Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Monday, September 13, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church of West Florence with Reverend Christopher Hoppe officiating. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Mahn Family Funeral Homes, Anderson-Peterson Chapel and also for one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
