Anna "Ann" Mae Siewert, age 86, of Lake City, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at her home. She was born, January 30, 1925 in Stewartville, Minnesota to Charles & Ida (Kath) Russell.
Ann grew up in Stewartville. She married Norman "Tubby" Siewert on August 25, 1943 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Stewartville. They moved to Oak Center to help work in the Siewert and Son's General Store and raise their family. She also worked for the Rochester School District and Kennedy Bus Service for 28 years. Tubby passed away in September 8, 2000.
Ann was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, St. John's Ladies Aid, and VFW Auxiliary in Zumbro Falls, DAV, flower club in Lake City and card clubs. She enjoyed reading and playing cards and visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas (Judith Stoltman) Siewert of Winona, Alfred "Jay" (Mary) Siewert of Byron; daughters, Cheryl Ann (Larry) Johnson of Zumbro Falls, Linda (Thomas) Lemmerman of Mazeppa; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Tubby; sisters, Helen Lenz, Eunice Ryan, Dorothy Sandte; brothers, Lloyd and Charles Jr.
