Ann Theresa "TC" Buckingham age 49 of West Concord died on Monday, January 28, 2008 from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident near Douglas. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 10:30 AM at St. Columbkill Catholic Church in rural Goodhue with Father Bruce Peterson and Pastor Tim Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday January 30, 2008 from 3:00 � 8:00 PM at the Mahn Family Funeral Home � Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and on Thursday one hour prior to the mass at the church.
Ann Theresa Ryan was born on July 1, 1958 in Red Wing, MN to Gerald "Shug" and Dolores (nee Franklin) Ryan. She grew up in rural Goodhue and graduated from Goodhue High School in 1976. She attended La Crosse Technical College for one year. On January 28, 1978 she married Bob Gadient Jr. and they later divorced. In 1992 she graduated from the College of St. Catherine with a BS in Special Education. She received her Masters Degree from the University of Minnesota. She had worked as a long term substitute for the Zumbrota-Mazeppa High School and Triton High School. On March 7, 1993 she married Minor "Corky" Buckingham. In 1998 she started working at Century High School in Rochester as a Special Education Teacher. TC enjoyed her country living, gardening, cooking, livestock, quilting, sewing, crocheting, painting, traveling and reading. TC is survived by her husband, Corky, her mother, Dolores Ryan of Goodhue, her children, Natalie Bettermann of West Concord, Dustin (Jenna) Gadient of Long Lake, Jacqueline Gadient of Long Lake, Dane Gadient of Red Wing, Alexandra Buckingham and Matthew Buckingham, both of West Concord, her grandchildren, Aidan and Kirsten Bettermann, her siblings, Jeri Petree of Goodhue, Ginger (Steve) O'Neill of Eagan, Dan (Gail) Ryan of Goodhue, Doug (Kris) of Zumbrota, Greg (Cindy) Ryan of Goodhue, Eileen (Larry) Miller of Mazeppa, Jacqueline Ryan of Goodhue, Hugh J. Ryan of Monroe, MI, Becky (Scott) Diercks and Kellie (Scott) Peterson, both of Red Wing and Peggy (Scott) Hinsch of Goodhue, her step-children, Toni (Rowan) McDonnell of Sartell, Teri ((Jon) Strieff of West Concord, Jim Buckingham of Mound, Traci Buckingham of Chicago, IL and Joe Buckingham of Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her father Gerald "Shug" Ryan. Casketbearers are Dan, Doug, Greg and Hugh Ryan, Dustin and Dane Gadient, Jim, Joe and Matthew Buckingham. The family suggests memorials to a college education fund for Alex and Matthew Buckingham.
