Angeline "Angie" Bernice McDougall

Angeline "Angie" Bernice McDougall, age 85 of Red Wing, died Thursday May 3, 2012 at her residence at Deercrest in Red Wing. Angie was born January 13, 1927 in Chisholm, Minnesota the daughter of Peter and Bernadette Petrini. She grew up in Chisholm and graduated from Chisholm High School in 1945. She became a dance instructor for Arthur Murray Dance School, where she met George McDougall. They were married September 8, 1951 in Chisholm. They lived in Hibbing for a short time, they then lived in St. Paul until moving to Red Wing in 1964. She worked at IBM in St. Paul and then at Ralston Purina in Hager City. George died October 20, 2008. She has resided at Deercrest since 2008. She was a member of the Church of Saint Joseph where she sang in the choir and was also active volunteering within the church; she was a member of ABCD Club, Friends of the Sheldon and was a past member of Red Wing Country Club. She still enjoyed listening to music, dancing, golfing, gardening and boating on the river when her boys were younger.

Survivors include her two sons: Kevin McDougall of Juneau, AK and David (Suzette) McDougall of Red Wing and one grandson, Logan McDougall of Boulder, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband, George and five siblings.

Mass of the Resurrection will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Church of Saint Joseph with Father Thomas Walker presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p. m. Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, and on Monday for one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Memorials are preferred to Deercrest or the Alzheimer's Association.
