Andrew Roger Erie, 71, of Vasa died Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at his home due to pulmonary embolism.
Andrew was born October 25, 1944 in Faribault to Raymond and Edna (Hoseth) Erie. He graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1962. He worked for Meyer Industries. He married Karen Allen Wilkins in 1970 and they later divorced in 1978. He lived in Spooner, Wisc. and then moved to Vasa in 1980. He was a mason by trade and worked with many of his relatives. He built beautiful rock fireplaces that he took pride in. He enjoyed hunting moose and bear, fishing, gardening, woodworking, bowling, golfing, pool, playing cards, and listening to ball games on the radio. He would have made a good mountain man.
Andrew is survived by five siblings, Ruth Ann (Clifford) Nelson of Wanamingo, Eugene Erie of Red Wing, Charles (Martha) Erie of Vasa, Dianne (Charlie) Dashow of Dundas, and Joanne (Ronald) Lindholm of Cannon Falls; sister in law, Judy Erie of Vasa as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Erie.
