Ancel L. Marshal, age 73 of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Ancel was born on July 27, 1937 to Ancel and Marquerite (Fordyce) Marshal in Mesa, Arizona. Ancel served in the United States Army in the Korean Conflict. He lived in Arizona where he was the District Manager for King Wire. He married Nan Vaught on March 4, 1976 in Arizona. They later divorced.
Ancel was a member of the Lake City VFW Post 8729. He enjoyed reading and also his cat, Phoebe. He also was an avid golfer.
Ancel is survived by his children, Fred (Jen) of South Carolina, Jerry of Bozeman, Montana, Luke (Dawn) and Jarrett of Lake City, and Billie Jean of Phoenix, Arizona; several grand children and great grand children; one sister, Virginia Powenski of Arizona; and his cat, Phoebe.
Ancel is preceded in death by his parents.
Burial will be at 11:45 AM on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with Military Honors provided.
