Alyce A. Bradshaw

Alyce A. Bradshaw, age 74 of Pine Island died on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Pine Haven Care Center. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Pine Island with Pastor Carolyn Westlake officiating. Burial will be in Pine Island Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00 - 3:00 PM at the church.
Alyce Ann Rauenhorst was born on October 9, 1939 in Kasson, MN to Joseph H. and Dora M. (nee Sommers) Rauenhorst. She grew up in the Pine Island area and attended country school. On May 16, 1958 she married David Bradshaw in Mazeppa. They made their home in the Pine Island area. Alyce worked as a clerk and waitress for various businesses in the Pine Island area. They divorced in the early 1980's. In 1988 Alyce and Richard Sigrist moved in together. They loved gardening, canning, traveling and camping until Richard's death in 2010. Alice also enjoyed reading, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, word find puzzles and drinking her iced tea while visiting with family and friends. Alyce was a member of the United Methodist Church in Pine Island for many years.
Alyce is survived by her children, Denise (Neal) Weis of Pine Island, Dawn (Jim) Rew of Pine Island, Dan (Sue) Bradshaw of Waseca and Debra (Brian) Shanks of Albert Lea; grandchildren, Ann Frericks, Brad Weis, Katie Rideoutt, Ashley Rew, Amber Rew, Ashley Lloyd, Joe Bradshaw, Tony Shanks and Brady Shanks; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lennis (Ken) Sigrist of Byron and Carol Montgomery of Brookings, SD; one brother, Bill (Lois) Angle of Volga, SD; sister-in-law, Janice Bennerotte; brother-in-law, Dallas Bennerotte; very special friends, Pauline Williams, Kari Bye, Bricelyn Sigrist and Mesa Sigrist.
Alyce was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dora; brother, Bernie Rauenhorst; and close friend, Richard Sigrist.
