Alice E. Majerus

Alice E. Majerus, 86, of Lake City, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Pine Haven Care Center. She was born January 18, 1934 to Herman and Clara (Sexton) Laqua. She grew up in West Albany township and attended various country schools and graduated from McCahill Catholic High School in 1952. She worked many different jobs over the years of her life, most notably Jostens and Riedell Shoes. She was very active in Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts as a den leader. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church. Alice loved to spend time with family and enjoyed sewing and needle work.
She is survived by two sons, Bob (Kathie) Majerus of Lake City and Bill (Sue) Majerus of Saint Paul; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald; three infant sons; four sisters, Cecelia, Helen, Ann, Joan; two brothers, Richard and Nicholas; and her parents.
