Alexis Deanna Earney, age 9, of Luck, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 9, 2016. She was born on January 25, 2007 to Jeremy and Janeen (Cody) Earney in Red Wing. She grew up in Luck, Wisconsin where she was just starting the fourth grade. She was very excited to start school again, except for math class; she did not like math! She was a very outgoing and happy girl, with a personality that matched her firey red hair. In 2014 she was crowned Miss Little Centuria, and she enjoyed being a princess. She was also a member of Girl Scouts and was planning to be a part of 4H with her new pet rabbit Dixie. She was an animal lover that loved all animals. Some of her other hobbies included camping, being outside, and shopping with her grandpa and teaching him how to accessorize. She also enjoyed playing with her brother and sister all the time, they were a true team.
She is survived by her parents, Jeremy of Centuria, WI and Janeen of Luck, WI; siblings, Richard and Brianna at home; grandparents, Jerome and Janice Cody of Balsam Lake, and Collin and Shirley Earney of Red Wing; paternal great-grandmothers, Louise Enberg of Red Wing and Sophia Bodelson of Diamond Bluff; maternal great-grandmother, Doris Fuller of Red Wing; and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her paternal great-grandfathers, Charles Earney Sr. and Leo Enberg; maternal great-grandparents, Gerald and Deanna Cody and Frank Weissinger Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Svea Lutheran Church with Reverend Dean Lundgren officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and one-hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment at Buffalo City Municipal Cemetery.
