Agnes Adora Doebler, 98, Red Wing, died Friday at St. Brigid?s at Hi-Park. She was born July 4, 1907 in New England, North Dakota, the daughter of Carl and Martha (Ohnstad) Flom. When she was a young child the family moved to Kenyon. She graduated from Kenyon High School, received a teaching certificate from Winona Teacher?s College in the 1920?s and completed her Bachelor?s Degree from Winona State in the 1950?s. She taught for over 30 years in Cannon Falls, Anoka and then Red Wing. She married Lewis Doebler at Holden Lutheran Church on September 20, 1941. After they were married they lived in Pine City and Cannon Falls, moving to Red Wing in 1948. Lewis died June 30, 1991. She was a member of United Lutheran Church, Sons of Norway and a past member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening, playing golf, traveling, reading and doing jigsaw puzzles. Survivors include two children, Dr. William (Kris) Doebler and Mary (Ken) Kostelac; four grandchildren: Greg (Stephanie) Doebler, Suzi (Chris) Haynes, Heidi Kostelac and Kevin (Brenda) Kostelac; one great-grandson, Colin Kostelac; one brother, Arlie Flom and foster sister, Inez Mills. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Clarence Flom and one sister, Sadie Voxland. Funeral will be 1 p. m. Monday at United Lutheran Church with Reverend Clark Cary officiating. Burial will be in Holden Lutheran Cemetery in Wanamingo Township. Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 5 p. m. Sunday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
