Adeline Antonia Reuter, age 87, of Red Wing, died Thursday, November 6, 2008, at Fairview Red Wing Seminary Home. She was born on January 30, 1921, on a farm a few miles from Mazeppa, Minnesota, to Mathew and Gertrude (Hoffman) Reiland. She graduated from Red Bridge School and Mazeppa High School. She helped with housework for many families and also worked at Rochester Dairy and Lake City Hospital. She married Vincent Reuter at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mazeppa on October 14, 1943. They lived on their farm by
Bellechester. Vince died on September 4, 1972, and Addie moved to Red Wing in 1986. She volunteered as a 4-H leader, religion teacher and Future Homemakers mother and at the Red Wing Health Center and the Church of St. Joseph.
Survivors include four children, Mary Kay Reuter and Jeanne Reuter of Red Wing, John (Lynette) Reuter of Maple Plain and Victoria (Jim) Anderson of Lakeville; six grandchildren Ann, Vince, Molly and Mandy Reuter, Jonah (Hailey) and Robyn Anderson; two great grandchildren Elijah and Lilah Anderson; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; three sisters Cecilia Arendt, Lorraine Sand and Veronica Poquette; and one brother Arthur "Bud" Reiland.
Mass of Resurrection will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Church of St. Joseph in Red Wing with Father Thomas Kommers officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellechester. Visitation will be from 3 � 6 p.m. Sunday with a prayer service at 6 p.m. at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing and one hour prior to the time of services Monday at the church. Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
