Adeline "Addie" Gregoire, age 92, of Rochester and formerly of Mazeppa, died on Sunday, October 5, 2008 at Sunrise Cottages in Rochester. A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Mazeppa with Pastor Dave Neil and Pastor Earl Stephan co-officiating. Private burial will be in Mazeppa Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, October 8, 2008 from 5:00 � 7:00 PM at the Mahn Family Funeral Home � Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and on Thursday from 10:30 until 11:00 AM at the church.
Adeline Helnora Fredrickson was born on December 30, 1915 in Minneola Township, Goodhue County, MN to Alfred and Nettie (nee Finnie) Fredrickson. She grew up on the family farm and attended country school. On April 25, 1937 she married John "Jack" Gregoire in Wanamingo. They made their home in Mazeppa and Addie graduated in 1941 from Mazeppa High School. Addie was a homemaker and Jack owned Gregoire Electric, an electrical contracting firm in Mazeppa. Addie was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Mazeppa and very involved in community activities. She was a member of the church, Mazeppa Senior Citizens and the Order of Eastern Star in Rochester. She volunteered her time as a Pink Lady and at the Salvation Army. She enjoyed her Bridge Club, crossword puzzles and crocheting. Addie is survived by her three daughters, Anne (Allen) Koenig of Oronoco, Lynn (Carl) Witt of Marietta, GA, and Jane (Dale) Lubahn of Grand Rapids, MI, eight grandchildren, Chris, David and Nancee Koenig, Jayson and Alison Witt, Casey and Andrew Lubahn and John B. Gregoire, six great grandchildren, one brother, Norman Fredrickson of Wanamingo and one sister, Darlene (Lyle) Bordson of Bloomington. Addie was preceded in death by her husband Jack, one son, John B. Gregoire, one granddaughter, Andrea Witt, three brothers, Donovan, Grant and Herbert Fredrickson, and three sisters, Rosella Loos, Oress Tiller and Marian Reinhardt. The family suggests memorials to the United Methodist Church in Mazeppa.
