Aaron Thomas (Lefty) Lafferty, 34, Red Wing, died Thursday, August 5, 2021, at North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN, surrounded by his family. He was born August 6, 1986, to Anne Marie Lafferty in Eagle Butte, SD.

His family moved from Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe in SD to St Paul, MN when he was 5. He attended Weaver Elementary and John Glenn Middle School in Maplewood, MN. He and his family relocated to Red Wing in 1997, and he finished school in the Red Wing School district.

Aaron was an accomplished chef, and worked at various restaurants. He even created a menu for a restaurant. He was an excellent handyman and mechanic. He enjoyed working on bikes, and helped neighborhood children repair their bikes. In his younger years, he enjoyed BMX racing, winning events and is recognized on the BMX Roster. He liked to fish, loved hanging out with family and friends, and spending time with animals, especially his dog Nina.

He is survived by his children, daughter, Hailey Lorraine Rose White-Lafferty (Mother, Whitney); son, Brayden Thomas Allen Lafferty and daughter, Skyla Lealoni Marie Lafferty (Mother, Kathryn); Mother, Anne Marie Lafferty (Ronald); siblings, Kristina DuPris (Keith), Darcel DuPris (Ben), Rocky Lafferty, Theresa Lafferty, Spencer Lafferty, Emery Lafferty, Catherine Rush, Dolly Rush; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other step kids.

Aaron was preceded in death by his grandmother Theresa Ducheneaux; grandfather Walter Lafferty; great-grandmother Virginia Rousseau and great-grandfather Lawrence Rousseau.

Visitation and services will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.at Colvill Courtyard in Colvill Park 507 Nymphara Lane, Red Wing, MN. A Farewell Dinner will be served at 5:00pm.
