Phyllis Jean Stumpf

Phyllis Jean Stumpf, 89 of Red Wing, died Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Loving Residence. She was born January 25, 1930 in Red Wing to Elmer and Hulda (Swanson) Duden. She graduated from Red Wing High School and went on to work at the Ben Franklin. She later worked for Lutheran Social Services. On June 16, 1948 she married Roy Stumpf in Hay Creek where the couple farmed for many years before Roy's retirement in 1998. The couple moved to Red Wing in 1989. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and will be missed by many.
She is survived by 4 children; Carol (Frank) Peterson of Bay City; Linda (Todd) Kuyath of Red Wing and Glen (Audrey) Stumpf of Red Wing and Jessica Henderson of Owatonna; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Johnnie and Wendy Stumpf.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy; two sons, Carl and Gerry; brother, Donald Duden and her parents.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2019 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Reverend Dana Jackson officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at church.
